SUMMARY: The job involves being part of a work crew removing litter form along designated roadways.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Pick up litter along designated roadways.
Bag all picked up litter.
Loading of trash bags into truck or trailer.
Unloading trash bags from truck or trailer at designated locations.
Unloading and setting up highway awareness signs.
Moving highway awareness signs during the day.
Loading highway awareness signs when work is completed.
Must be willing to accept instructions and carry them out without the necessity of close supervision.
Must work with and cooperate with others.
Must wear proper uniform including protective equipment.
Must obey all safety rules and regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Working knowledge of English.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel frequently.

- Must be able to tolerate extremes of hot and cold weather and occasional rain.
- The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally help lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
