SUMMARY:

Provides support to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications in the design and production of marketing collateral, branding materials, and media used for advertising, internal/external communications, web/online communications, and retail promotion.  This position will create and edit artwork, photo, and layout design used for marketing and other branding purposes.  Additionally, the Creative Services Coordinator will be responsible for adhering to and ensuring the HOTGW brand standards are met and remain consistent when creating content for Heart of Texas Goodwill.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  1. Serve as primary designer for creative content (including print, web, digital and concept design).
  2. Prepare and post images and other appropriate content to HOTGW social media channels and website. Help monitor comments/feedback on social media channels and respond with input from the VP, MARCOM.
  3. Assist the content writing for website, blog, social media, sales and marketing collateral.
  4. Assist with video production (shooting, editing, etc.).
  5. Manage and execute in-house print production orders (including marketing collateral and retail signage).
  6. Assist with managing vendors for outside printing needs.
  7. Ensure departments have appropriate marketing collateral and sales signage in adequate quantities.
  8. Assist with the conception and implementation of marketing campaigns and branding strategies in various projects as needed by other departments (Retail, Human Resources, Mission Services, etc..).
  9. Help ensure brand standards are met by conducting store audits and implementing necessary changes.
  10. Assist with the planning and coordination of the Annual Gala and other MARCOM coordinated events.
  11. Engage internal and external customers with a positive, collaborative attitude.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Associates Degree with 3-5 years of graphic design experience preferred.

Experience in the following is preferred:

  1. Expert knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro)
  2. Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  3. Social media platforms (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
  4. WordPress Content Management System
  5. General knowledge of photography & videography

MINIMUM SKILLS: 

  1. Excellent attention to detail.
  2. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  3. Proficiency in completing assignments on time.
  4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and thrive in fast-paced, consistently changing environment.
  5. High standards of ethics and integrity.
  6. Enthusiasm for Goodwill’s mission.
  7. Basic knowledge of layout, printing, and publication procedures.
