Andrea Salinas

Andrea L. Salinas, Director of Operations at Heart of Texas Goodwill in Waco, grew up in San Antonio and graduated from University of Texas-San Antonio with a degree in Human Resources Management. She obtained an Executive MBA from Baylor University in 2012.

Her professional career began and continues with nonprofits. In 1993, Salinas became employed by the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind as a Human Resources Generalist.  In 1996, she moved to Austin, Texas and started working at Goodwill Central Texas as a Human Resources Generalist. After rewriting her own job description to include more responsibility, she took over as Human Resources Manager and then Employee Services Director. She quickly moved into the roles of Employee Services Vice President and then became the Chief Operating Officer before moving to Chief Administration Officer and Senior Vice President.

Salinas sits and serves as Vice President on the Board of GiftingCare , a non-profit who helps those experiencing the physical, mental, emotional, and financial trauma of major upper-body surgery heal in comfort by providing a comfortable, post-operative shirt.
